Burbank kids ready to perform Shakespeare at the Starlight Bowl tonight for free!

The Burbank Youth Summer Theatre Institute is ready to shine tonight on the Starlight Bowl stage with a group of talented kids performing “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”.

When: 6 p.m., Thursday, doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Admission: Free. Picnics are welcome.

The Burbank Youth Summer Theatre Institute (BYSTI) is a 3 week Summer Intensive Shakespeare Camp.
At Starlight Bowl Monday – Friday 9:00am – 3pm
3 weeks June 9 – June 27, 2014
“A Midsummer Night’s Dream” Show Days: Wednesday, June 25th at 1:30pm
Thursday, June 26th at 6:00pm
Shows are Free to the public!

Students 8-18 will experience every aspect of the theatre including master classes in character/scene study, improvisation, vocal projection, movement, history of Shakespeare, set/prop and costume design. Help us celebrate the bards 450th birthday, as we create our own magic with “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. The Starlight Bowl will come alive with kings, queens, lords, ladies, fairies, and confused humans as they romp through madcap adventures before they get their happy ending. BYSTI is taught by actor/artists; Lisa Dyson, Crystal Robbins, David Prather, and Beth Morrison.

What a truly amazing 2013 Summer Concert Series at the Starlight Bowl!

The High Street Band, the United States Marines and fireworks lit up the night on July 4th for the opening show!


BOSTYX with special guest Country Nation put on a great high-energy show on July 14th!


An Evening with Ozomatli had everyone on their feet dancing on July 21st!


The Fab Four returned with all the favorite Beatles’ classics on July 28th!


Moonwalker – The Reflection of Michael Jackson brought the King of Pop home on August 3rd!


Led Zepagain and Queen Nation rocked the final show of the season on August 10th!

It was an incredibly fun Season closer!

Queen Nation opened the show with an hour set! They were an incredible likeness to Queen.


Gregory Adamson came back and did a surprise picture of Robert Plant. He donated 1/2 of the proceeds to the Starlight Bowl and also donated a picture of Jimmy Page that he had painted earlier. Starlight Bowl made $2,750. Thank you to everyone who bid on these fantastic pictures! James Martin won both.

Led Zepagain finished the evening! It was a great show! The crowd felt they were taken back to a Led Zeppelin concert.
